Beginning with the elementary school that helped shape our future in Gondar, Ethiopia, we strive to break barriers to education and empower children to dream bigger, learn boldly, and become leaders in their communities.
The M&T Legacy Foundation was founded by Edilawit and Fasil as a tribute to the extraordinary women who shaped their lives — W/O Manalebish Zewdu (Edilawit’s mother), and W/O Tizez Haile (Fasil’s mother).
Though they came from different walks of life, they shared the same values: unconditional love, generosity, resilience, and a profound belief in the power of education and community.
